Calendula - these pretty garden flowers are one of nature’s best healing plants for skin.  Calendula was an official pharmaceutical medicine and is still recognised in countries which continue to approve the sale of herbal medicines as health products.  Calendula works at a number of different levels to help skin heal.  It greatly reduces bleeding, is a strong agent against skin inflammation, it has an impressive scientifically shown activity against infection by bacteria, fungi and viruses.  In addition it stimulates the healing process after skin injury so that healing can occur much more quickly.
